???Vitadone???

Ok...Im new at this so here goes...I have been on the Methadone Program in my City for a couple of months now. I feel like this is going to help me. Im gonna stay positve anyway. Anyway....since I have been on the "Program" I have been experiencing a few side-effects (sugar cravings, sweating, constipation, and lack of energy) I HATE IT!!!! I recently found out about something called Vitadone. If anyone knows anything about this or something else that might help me I would be forever Grateful. I dont feel like I am ready to taper of even quit Methadone YET....but I am not at a super high dose or anything (50mgs) but I feel like its working so far. Dont get me wrong, I have had a few slips here and there but Im ready to do this right so that when the time comes when Im ready to taper then I will be a little more prepared. But thats a whole nother story.....for now I really need something to help me with these side effects, and if Vitadone will help or is there something else that I may consider. And If your reading this Thank You!

Sorry, never tried Vitadone. I ate a big bowl of whole grain cereal every night. It has some sugar and helped me relieve myself in the morning. I ate a lot of rice and fruit also. Emergen-C is a good electrolyte powder you add to water, and it helped with energy and hydration. I always felt like I was malnourished on methadone.

Hi & Welcome,

I have heard of it from other MMT patients and they say it works but I would check with your doctor and even speak with your pharmacist regarding the side effects.

Good luck and I hope you find something that helps.
