Obsessing on Suboxone

I just got out of detox and 2 weeks of rehab.  While in detox, I started taking suboxone.  I know there is no way to tell how tapering will be.  However, I am obsessing on it greatly.  I am wondering how to stop obsessing on it.  Do you think i will have a hard time getting off it if I have been taking it for 3 or 4 weeks when I start tapering.  I am on 12 mg a day, divided into 3 doses.  I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks so much,
Marie

Hi Marie, just wanted to share my support. From what I understand about sub, as long as you use it with a taper plan you should be fine. I really wish I had more to offer. I do think we can worry ourselves into a dither and magnify things. Or at least I know I do. The fear of wd, for example, really stressed me out. No, wd is nowhere near pleasant by any means, but I made it worse in my mind. I tend to do that with other things in my life as well.

I know you will get some great information and advice here. You are doing great and I am proud of you! :)

Hey Marie.......Glad to hear from you....I certainly don't have the answer to this question but I do have an interest in this post as I am 14 days clean here off all my pain meds and wrestling with the use or nonuse of Sub's as my PM doc has recommended them for chronic pain issues..I however am very leary of another potential longterm pain med....of course he also reccommended them for my detox but I refused.....how are your pain levels??  just curious....Congrats on your victory over the Opana....GOOD WORK!!!...hope you are doing well and celebrating the Freedom you've won so far......you ROCK!!!...peace and prayers........
