i dont think it works like that
Once u r addicted..u usually always are an addict. If u stopped for a year..u would be right back where u r now if u started using again. may take a month or 2...but u wld be an addict so u would abuse them again.
dont go there..if u stop..u need to stay clean and aftercare helps
I agree with worried. I have over 70 days and often think I can handle a few. But... We are addicts. Once you cross the line and abuse drugs, the addiction has it's grip on you. Eventually you would back in the same boat. I hear your addict asking this question, not you!
Some people have legitimate pain and have someone hold their pills. But addiction is so cunning. It waits for us to feel weak and before we know it we are right back where we started.
Once an addict, always an addict. This is why we recommend aftercare like we do here.
No, it's not a good idea to take them ever again unless you have surgery or an accident AND nothing else helps. And even then, you must have someone hold them and dispense them. Each person must think ahead about this possibility in life and do what is right for them. Furthermore, you should never take Percocet again, as that is a "key" that fits your brain's limbic system (the limbic system of the brain includes the pleasure center) lock perfectly. Even if you had to go to opiates for some catastrophic reason, you should never take Percocet/oxycodone again. Each opiate has its own signature.
Thank u can anyone recommend something for pain non narcotic I have pins and screws in my ankle and winter gets rough
Are you allergic to Aspirin? If not, you can ask your Dr. to prescribe Toradol (not Tramadol) I also have screws in my left leg, it's non-narcotic and helped me a lot.
I agree with everyone here! I was clean for a year and a half then decided i could take a couple for back pain and pain in my side.....well needless to say i am now only 17 days clean today after a 5 month battle with the things once again!! SO NO STAY AWAY!! its like an alcoholic going into a bar just doesnt work that way!!
I've got bad osteo in multiple body sites, and surprisingly, the best thing I've found is Aleve! If you do take it, just remember that all anti-inflammatories, both OTC and prescription, can cause blood thinning. Please go to a doctor and see what he/she suggests. And only take ONE kind of anti-inflammatory at a time! Otherwise, you will be in danger of heavy bleeding. Paleflower suggested Toradol, which is a prescription ant-inflammatory. I agree with her; I gave lots of that in the recovery room, and my patients really got a good bit of relief. Hope you get some relief, too, so you can stay strong in your resolve to quit Percocet.
