Withdrawal from endocet

My husband was just put on administrative leave from work. The company nurse was aware that he was taking Endocet, but a random drug test shows his toxicity level was 10X above acceptable. He has not been abusing the drug, so we have to find out why his level is so high. He will be stopping the drug to keep his job, but is concerned about withdrawal. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice will be helpful! We are very concerned for his health and well being.

Thanks! He is in some major pain and is taking 1/2 doses to wean himself off. His doctor is confident that he will be alright to test again Tuesday. They regularly check kidney and liver enzymes, and his are good. He never abused his medicine and only took his regular doses. I just hate to see him in pain. He has idiopathic peripheral neuropathy and I know it is painful because I have watched him for the last several years. My husband is a working, tax paying citizen who is not self medicating, and yet he still gets treated like a drug addict! Frustrating!

Maybe there is something wrong with the way his body metabolizes the drug, maybe there is an alternative drug that would work better.  It's weird things like this that cause recalls on drugs... maybe the lot/batch he got from the pharmacy was a bad batch.  or even the drug tests were a bad batch... either way good luck finding out what it is soon so he can work and be comfortable without pain. Good luck.

His mgs is 325 and he takes 3-4 per day. He has been on them for about 6 months. He will se his doctor tomorrow where he is requesting a drug screen to see if the results compare. I am concerned that his liver isn't Functioning properly. He also takes gabapatin so that could be effecting him. Either way, he is coming off of them. I am scared of the pain he may be in, but he will be better off!

That makes no sense.I would demand to be retested as legally he can.He isnt abusing the meds, needs them&thats not fair.I would definitely as for that he doesnt deserve to be n pain.
As for ur question. How many&what mg r they that he takes everyday.Because he wasnt abusing them his w/d will b just a few days the worst will b day3to4.Good news is there r lots of stuff that helps. Also how long has he been taking them?Look@the thomas recipe here get the supplies on there. For most people the worst3symptoms r sleeplessness, anxiety during w/d and tummy issues(diarreah).(Look@the thomas recipe but heres what works to help a lot for those symptoms.
NAME BRAND(not generic it makes a HUGE difference)not only does it stop awful diarreah&he should take it generously as it helps w/other symptoms of w/d.Its not an opiate but works the same way.4lack of a medical explanation it works like opiate n the sense that ot blocks u up so to speak&helps w/headaches&other symptoms. It works like an opiaye but not one&u cant get high.Sleep may b rough otc p.m. med(a lot of people try nyquil or benedryl but it has adverse reactions often keepimg u awake &/or ellevate anxiety). Also u can try altril its all natural w/3things that r natural sleep aids(like melatonin),try otc anxiety meds/vitamins.Hear people raving about yogi kava tea.Ive been told it works as good as xanax. All availabe at walmart btw. There r a lot more options.Oh wait he obviously has a dr. a life saver is called clonidine as well as small amounts of anxiety, sleep, nausea&other meds2make this SO much easier.Clonidine is a blood pressure med but widely prescibed for opiate w/d.i was taking150+mg of lortab daily(abusing them big time).Clonidine took my w/d down at least60-75%.
