I've been off Vicoden for 3 days....

Here is my question I've been tapering down over the past couple of weeks because I'm going to have a baby at the end of the month.  Iniatially I was taking anywhere from 4-10 per day.  (10/325)  They are like double the normal amount given.  As of two weeks ago I was down to 3 per day.  I haven't taken anything since sunday and I really don't feel all that bad.  Of course I feel like **** because of my pregnancy and all but no w/d's this time around.  Whats the deal?  Is it because I tapered?  Am I going to get slammed later...tommorow perhaps?  I'm trying really hard to jsut be done with these awful things because I don't want baby to be born addicted.  I have 3 more weeks until my scheduled c-section.  I really don't want w/d's  do you all think I made it past the worst part yet?

at 3 days i would say u r thru the worst of anything that could come ur way...feel lucky and do stay on ur toes after the baby is born...dont go back to old habits..congrats!

Keep off the stuff, your doing great !! I'm down to 2 hydro's a day (2 yr habit) and just can't find the desire to stop although I feel like ****. Hope the best for you and your new baby.....

It could well be the tapering that has helped you. Be sure to start taking lots of vitamins (2x/day) and good luck with the new baby. Good job on quitting too.

Hey, that sounds great! I tappered off of 9/day of the 10mg hydros. i did 2 to 3 pills the last 2 weeks of my taper and then just 1 the very last day.  my withdrawl was next to nothing. had trouble sleeping a few nites later and was really shaky for a few weeks but that was it. i think you may be past the worst!!!

i also had a hard time believing it because i had tried cold turkey so many times and it was pure hell.
