Good to hear from ya today. Are u feeling any better than last night? During my first few days my heart felt like it was gonna blow up. I had major shake especially at night. I don't think u were having a seizure. But like the other post said if you think something is really wrong see a doc. But it's most likely just the opiate withdrawal symptoms.

From my experiences with both substances, I would tend to think not..Seizures with benzo's, xanax, tramadol and the sort are normally associated with long term use of them and then not doing a proper taper to wean away from those substances..

There are a number of folks in here going thru wd's in which they quote their Dr's prescribing either xanax or valium for a short time during the early phases of wd's so if there was an issue with these, we wouldn't see the number of folks we see with valid prescriptions of them to help the wd process..

Benzo withdrawal has been known to bring on seizure but I haven't heard or read stories of that happening from opiate withdrawal.  But everyone else is right - if you think there's something else going on see a Dr. immediately.

Seizures are possible during the early stages of opiate withdrawal. They are not common, but are attributed to the largest percentage of first time seizure victims admitted to ERs. I had a couple of minor "incidents", blurred vision, shaking uncontrolablly, etc. I was well aware of what was going on around me, just could not participate. As far as I know, that is NOT a seizure, most have no recollection of one happening. Your BP is bouncing madly right now, a lot of changes are occuring. You may want to go see a doctor if you feel it is that serious.

Not as a normal symptom unless there is some other underlying medical condition you may have which the wd's symptoms are triggering..OR..you have been taking some other meds such as xanax, tramadol, plus some other's I can't think of right now that have been known to bring on seizures if not tapered away from..If this issue continues, you best get with your Dr and discuss this. Normal opiate wd's are not known to bring on seizures as a wd consequence..
