clonidine/suboxone

Well I was getting really sick the past few days on the suboxone.  It seemed like right after I took it I got physically ill and then the body aches and irritability started getting worse.  I said I was on 2.5 suboxone correction it is 2 mg no idea how I got that one.  Anyway, I tried taking half in morning afternoon 1 pill a day 1 and a half 2 it was crazy.  Today I was at work and losing it...very irritable and jumpy nerves-no body aches or real bad nausea.  I went to the doc hoping he would put me back on subutex as I had no side effects from that the first 3 days-he said you should not be on subutex long term and gave me a clonidine patch that lasts 7 days. I really thought he would change the meds or change the dose.  Anyway its probably best that I stay at a low dose anyway so its easier to get off later.  If anyone has any info about this combo please let me know.

and as usual Mary...your info is dead on sweetie!  dose is too low...

being on a higher dose for the first week has no impact on your taper after the first week is over...i went from 32 mgs down to 16 mgs in less than 2 weeks and i was on 32 mgs for 6 weeks...once the initial induction and withdrawals are past, your body will NOT still require that higher dose at all...

Here I am !   I love my Clonodine !   I think it's the clondodine that has helped me taper down so easily from 8mg to under 1mg. I now take a 1/4 of one to sleep every night.  The doctor was trying all kinds of sleeping pills and most gave me rls.  I told her that I was taking the clonodine to sleep and she said it was fine.  You will probably be uncomfortable for a week on the low dose of sub you are on, but the clonodine will help you sleep and take away any rls.  On such a low dose of sub you are probably having some withdrawals, but if you can get through a week or so you should start to feel better.  Are you craving at all ?  If you are I would definatley up your dose.
