relapse one week

HI.  I need advice.  Three years ago I was addicted to Hydrocodone.  I was taking 10 pills a day for a year.  Last week I relapsed, and have been taking 2-3 pills a day.  If I stop TODAY do you think I will have bad withdrawls like last time?  The worst for me was the mental withdrawl.  What do you think?

           You will have withdrawals. But they will get better.

Dont put so much focus on the actual physical wd's.  It is the mental part of this that needs the attention.  Did you get any type of recovery care before?  I would really recommend some type of outside help.  Using is just a symptom of this addiction.         sara

Hi, I agree with laurel. It's a slippery slop when your an addict. A relapse can happen in one month, one year, 3 years etc. We have crossed over the line. Aftercare is crucial.
Hope you can flush what you have left and start your recovery today. First it's s few pills a day and before you can blink your eyes, your in full blown addiction again. That's probably why your posting.

each one is different... you say "if i stop today ... "... don't say "if"... stop taking them, pls and work on your recovery... did you attend any kind of aftercare during these 3 years ? make changes this time....after 10 days you won't have such bad wds but your mind is already playing games.... Last time you asked if you could use from time to time without problems just to get energy... You are an addict, we can not play with drugs and think there is a way to be smarter than them, tphelp..You already know that wds won't as bad as last time after a week of using, you know you have to quit now without ifs so please, don't let your mind start playing games with you.
