Day 2

well didn't sleep very well last night, tossed and turned alot had a horrific nightmare about my youngest daughter I mean so real it awoke me at 3:00 and I just laid there finally turned the t.v. on and started to watch and then eventually fell back asleep the nightmare really bothered me, I don't have things like that anyone else have nightmares? I finally got up at about 7:30 and I do feel better then yesterday morning but still not feeling very good. Today will be difficult because  its the weekend and everyone is here (kids hubby) my paitence will be tested today I'm sure but FireFaery suggested staying busy as much as possible so I am going to try that I am having the tingly skin feeling burning sensation and acheness no more runs to the bathroom.  It is so great being able to come on here and express my feelings this is just such a blessing. Thanks to everyone!!

How are you feeling now Missy?  You have 1 more hour and then you have made it to the 48 hour mark. Did cleaning the house and everything help with your restlessness.  In the middle of the night I tore apart my closet and dresser to get rid of old clothes and get organized.  It took me a couple of hours but once I was do with that I was able to sleep for a couple of hours.

YOU are doing  a great job....I can relate to the kids being around..that got on my nerves a little during the detox cuz i was on edge..but it gets better w/ each passing day.

Keep you mind occupied, that really does help.
Sounds like you are doing all the right things.
Enjoy the weekend!
Keep posting..I found that really helped, also!

Yes I am trying to look at each new feeling as a step closer to my recovery. I am trying to stay optomistic and stay busy in hopes that the day will fly and then next and so on. Firefaery glad your dad is doing well my mom just told me that my dad has quit taking his VIC so I am hopeful thats true although he has just told her what she wants to hear in the past. They live about 12 hours from me so I don't see them very often so I can't really see for myself but I pray he is being honest! I have been taking alot of hot showers, drinking water cranberry juice, and I started taking a liquid multi vit in the A.M. also I have been drinking carnation breakfast drink which contains alot of vits and stuff cause I really do not have much of an appetite. I thank you all for your thoughts you are really my angels !!!!!!!

sorry you didn't get much sleep. nightmares are very common, when first quitting pills or drugs. i had them all the time for the first month clean and they were so real and scary too. just remember this is part of the process and they will diminish after time. most dreams have some sort of message. see if you can relate any to what is going on in your life. your on day 2 so you may feel like **** for a couple more days, but it gets so much better, it sounds like your hanging in there so your doing great, this is so worth it.

I know how you feel about it being difficult with the kids.  I have an 8 month old and my mom doesn't get home from work unti 12 so I am trying to take care of him.  My husband is at work and my dad and I are both detoxing.  My dad is doing great too, He called my last night to tell me that his legs were bothering him.  I told him to take a hot bath.
