Having a kidney stone now. Of course.

Just an update. Have been taking about 30mg of percocet now for a few days. 15mg in AM 15 in PM.  Probably will feel some wd after this is all done but I will not take any more than that. No way. It is helping though. That is until the full blown pain attack comes then I usually end up in the ER. could be a few weeks before it ls all done. Someone tell me the WD will not be that bad ! :)
Well it can't be worse then 160mg of oxy CT :).

***** though. And there is no chance of me going back to my old habits. Could not afford it even if I really wanted to :)

Do what you said you were gonna do. I hope your abusing them. Sounds like your not. You should be good with the wds. I only takes one day of taking a whole bunch to put a hurting on ya. You know that. Hope that you feel better. 30mg is still alot though. Def cut it back for a few days before your out. A good test is to not take them all. See how strong you really are...

I've heard kidney stones are more painful than having a baby. I'm sorry you have to go through that.  Be careful with the perc's, you proabably already know how fast the painkiller can diminish and then you're taking more and more. Don't let your self get into a cycle, try cutting down now before it gets worse. Hope you feel better soon :)

Hey dude I really feel for you kidney stones su ck and are very painful you need to give the meds to your wife to dispence to you the way there suppose to be taken I never read on any of my bottles of perc's where it said to take 3 in the am and 3 in the pm correct me if im wrong
but other wise this is addictive behavior  uping our dose or taking them all at ones is not the way there prescribed that way we need someone other then our selfs to dispence them to us as a safty mesure that still 30mg of oxy a day your eating....that can run away from you pritty ez....dude im not tring to rain on your peraid im just tring to look out for you.....you worked to hard to get where your at to let something like this bring you back down.....you wouldent be the first one I seen it happen to please exercise extream caution any time narcotics are used\\
I will add you to my prayer list good luck and God bless......Gnarly

I kind of went through the same thing. Couple weeks ago I was in a car accident. Dislocated shoulder, 4 broken ribs and whiplash. I refused pain meds in the hospital but the doctor sent me home with a script for 30 percocets. I was scared to death to take them. I held off as long as I could but the pain was too much. I took half of one. Didnt really seem to help a whole lot with the pain but I got a really goods night sleep. The next day I woke up and felt 10x worse! I ended up taking the other half. I felt that oh so familiar high and it scared the crap outta me! It was doing nothing for the pain so I flushed the other 29. But during all of this I was reminded by all the wonderful people here that sometimes you really have to take pain meds. As long as you are taking them the way they should be taken you will not ruin your clean time. I had my mother hold them and she was going to dispense them for me. Just keep a close eye on the usage and try to hold off as long as you can. And when you dont need them anymore FLUSH them! Just be careful and you should be fine! I hope you get to feeling better really soon. Take care and stay strong my friend
