thank you very much! I had a great Christmas---I hope you had a great one as well!
Have a very Merry Christmas Lee!! Keep yourself on track!
: ) Yaay! Congrats on those 16 days. Honestly, regardless of what they do with your charges, you have given yourself a chance at a life now, clean and sober, and that way you won't have to worry about any MORE charges ever happening! Right? : ) I do completely agree that it would be awesome to get the charges dropped down some so that you don't have the felony on your record. No matter what, you are so much better off and finally healthy and ready to move on. That is the most important thing as far as I can tell. What a great Christmas gift you are giving yourself and your loved ones this year! I'm really proud of you, Lee!
Hugs!

Hey Lee good to see you posting the rehab thing will look good to the judge ask like Sara said for the imposition my daughter dident get on and now has a felony on her record...it makes it hard to find a good job,.....are they charging you with any weapons violations ??
or is it just going to be about the drugs and theft....if its weapons the ATF will get involved
and thats a whole nother can of worms keep us posted on how this goes you might want to ask your lawyer about the sale of the guns...that could be a big issue better to be prepared for it then to go to court and find out after the fact....at least it sounds like you will have Christmas at home have a clean and sober Christmas Lee and merry Christmas....Gnarly
I would ask if you could have the stay of imposition. That way once you complete drug court and probation the felony charges would be dropped to a gross misdemeanor and wouldnt be on your record as a felony. Just a thought. As i said before, drug court has been a godsend for so many here. Lots of success stories have come from it.......
Sara, the rehab is someting i am doing on my own kinda Pretrail--my attorny says it will help in many ways and at sentecing i should get the drug court
Are they giving you a stay of imposition?
Will you start drug court once you are back from rehab?
thanks Sara and Merry Christmas to you also!
Congrats on 16 days Lee!! I am really proud of you and how hard you are working on your recovery. I hope you have a Merry Christmas~~~~~~sara
So glad to hear of your 16 days.
You are very lucky to be able to get to more than one meeting a day. I live some traveling distance form the nearest city here in PA and even then I would be hard-pressed to find more than one meeting a day. So take advantage of it.
I believe everything happens for a reason and maybe it is a good thing that you won't be going to rehab until next week. I think it would be difficult to be in during the holiday. It was for me and it brought up a lot of feelings that I did not know how to handle at the time. It was also a justification for not completing treatment--that is how my mind was thinking. If you go next week, you may have a better mind-set.
Sarah made a very good point and it would be wonderful if the charges were lessened. It would be helpful down the road to further your career for sure. I think it is something you should pursue. I do hope you are not entering in-patient treatment to look good for the judge. It would be a very sad mistake not to look at this as an opportunity. Please enter the treatment center with an open mind and do it for YOU. This is a shot for you to learn about Lee and to learn how to live life without the use of drugs. I pray that you take the time to begin a lifetime of recovery.
I wish you and your loved ones a Very Merry Christmas! Be kind to yourself.
