for those thinking about using seroquel for easing opiate WD symptoms

If you have read my posts I have repeadedly given credit to Seroquel for making my WD tolerable because of its sedative effect at low doses. I know very little about this drug. If I've influenced anyone to obtain this drug that is not my intention. I can tell you your head gets very foggy, and DO NOT think that you will be able to drive a car safely. Plan your WD time carefully, what ever your plan. I have told my kids that I was sick and wont be able to play taxi for them for approx a week.(they are ages 13 and 15.) Please take time to learn about this drug befor you decide to take it. Thankyou-stay safe through out your withdrawl and Good Luck reaching your dream of an opiate free life.

yes, it makes you that drowsy. apparently over time your body gets tolerant to it and the initial drowsyness will no longer be the effect that you will get. All I can say is I took it in a low dose 50mg, every night before I went to sleep. It helped me fall asleep and still had a tranquilizer effect in the morning so I cant say that I've had the anxiety that we should feel going through WD's. Last night I decided not to take it since it's now day 4 clean for me and I wanted to see how I really feel without the sedation. I'm alittle anxiouus, but it's doable. Kinda nice not having that foggy feeling now.I need to be able to go back to work in 2 days.(took 6 dayd off to get off perc's) I think it's just enough time.

Sounds like you're taking it responsibly..It is very sedating but your body will become accustomed to that...It is a med that should only be taken if prescribed by a Dr. as it can have very serious side effects...BreakTheChain is correct...Find out all you can about it..IYears ago it was  mainly used as an Anti-Psychotic and the Dr's at the State Mental Hospital would give it out to patients out of control..However..It's now been shown that it can help with depression and Bi-Polar...And one should definittely not drive on it. But taken correctly..it is a very good med and can be very useful for WD's because of its sedating effects...especially if you experience severe anxiety and trouble sleeping.
