I have been clean for 29 months and have worked 5 sets of steps, had a yr clean prior as well. I have worked on numerous issues and some behaviours just wont go away ,getting depressed.losing interest in life things that used to make me excited actually repulse me or bore me.
I went to my doctor and she has set up an appointment with a phycoligist it will take about a week to get in. In the mean time she has given me clonazepam.(addictive)
Question one , what is this stuff and I am not feeling as bad but dont feel  lol double edged sword.
Question two, she has given me 5 days worth, then what
Question three what is Buspirone(non addictive) and will that help
Quesiton four ,if I am bi polar what med could somebody suggest for a recovering addict ,as well wont screw with my sex drive LOL

Am not to sure have an appointment coming up soon to determine what is going on , i dont have drastic thoughts but I do go on spendign sprees, or sit at home , then I change and do lots of na panels, service work , have 3 sponsees visit all my family , then back to the other behaviour , as I had said in my post it is just not getting better and I wanted to wait untill over 2 yrs for paws to lessen to see if that might of just been it, but to be truthful Sara, no it s not lol, that is okay , today my ego had been poked with a pin on a ballon and I dont have to be "okay" , something is wrong and its effected me and my loved ones, so now to work in the solution . big hugs to you !!!!

Congrats on your clean time!  You have no idea how proud of you i am~~

The clonazepam is used for seizures or panic attacks and the Buspirone is used for short term anxiety.  Hopefully at your appt they will be able to come up with a plan for you and get you feeling better.  Gnarly should be on here at some point and he knows about the meds for Bi-polar.  Are they thinking maybe that is what is going on?
