we have all had that same question. i have had 5 surgeries on my jaw and have pain that is literally unbearable on some days...i have made a choice not to use pain pills unless i need to go to the er for relief...i know from experience tolerance builds. many here have found that after getting some clea time under theri belt the pain is not as bad as when on pills. your mind wil create pain and make pain worse in order to get more pills. you are the only one can that determine how bad your pain is....you just have honest with yourself. good luck.
People here had worse dilemas. Debilitating pain that made plenty of us taking the pills but one day we said NO MORE.
I am chronic neck, back and headches/mifrains all the time. I am hoping actually my pain gets better after i am done with my detox.
I know i quit for a year back then and my lower back hurt less. Had headaches and neck pain still. But didn't stay off long enough to evaluate better
Sure have.... My back is pretty well trashed from a negative parachute experience, several car wrecks, and a boat crash. Also have the stenosis going and even afew other things..... I also tried to handle everything with the pain pills ,,,,, Problematically, they dont make enough pills for that.... Do you really want to hit your golden years and be chasing for pills all the time? Before long the pills just dont work and you need to switch meds or increase your dose astronomically ....... If the pain is bearable -- You ae quite lucky.... Mine is close to unbearable and I am in much better shape tonight than I ever was when wiped out on narcotics...... Most chronic pain types come to this realization if they are honest with themselves ------ Even if you exercise restraint and the whole nine yards - the narcs will need to be increased ----- thats their thing, its the way they are , And all of the intentions in the world do not negate tolerance ....... Good luck to you ...
