i am trying to quit fioricet! need help, any ideas?

I am a mom of 3 and have been on Fioricet and norco for 4 years.  I am so afraid I am not going to live to see my babies grow.  I have tried to stop so many times.   Every day I say Today will be better.   Does anyone have any experience with Fioricet?

I take fiorcet I was at 20 pills a day in now down to 5 pills a day I went straight down to 8 then tappered down it is on 4 months now in doing great. I will keep doing my tapper to I''m down to 0 I have my husband hand out my meds every mourning to me so I  can not steal. I feel so much better not taking so much meds and one day will be free. But you need to talk to you D.R about a tapper plan don't go cold turkey. and best of luck to you.

How much fioricet are taking? I used and abused fioricet for around 10 years, at the end(about 4 years ago) I was on 14 pills a day. Tried once to end ct and got I seizure that landed me in a hospital and I was so dumb that I didn't realize it was cause the fioricet. So I continued using until 4 years ago when I was in a Psychiatric ward and did not slept the first night in the morning I got a seizure that landed me in Intensive Care of the hospital, I was administered phenobarbital in IV for 3 days, it was hell, I went literally crazy, I derealized from the real world and had some  nasty hallucinations that felt real, got almost a heart attack, it was a atrial fibrillation and after puking and all the nightmares by day 5 I was again normal, still was in Intensive Care for another two weeks. Never took a fioricet again. My problem now is the xanax.

Fioricet is a very hard drug to come off of ..YOU HAVE TO TAPER OFF OF IT .alot of doctor hospitalize people to . Plz talk to a doctor they he/she can work out a taper plan for you .wd are dangerous there are seizure risks.so plz plz do not try doing this without a taper plan and help.
