im at 1mg of methadone

hey guys for you that think you screwed up going down this route, well you did...but once you get down you will come back to normal, im at 1mg of methadone with 7 years on it, I had bad depression and enxiety from it, its mostly gone now though I did mess up a few days agao on some crystal, was a drunkin night I just hope I can stay at this 1mg and get off within a week or two, what do you guys think I should do

Hi  well I on methadone 7yrs also it is not so much the withdrawal but the long recovery that takes it out of you  as for the crystal  well you know where that goes and alcohol is a loosing war for a addict it is really really ez to become cross addicted wile detoxing  I dident sleep right for 2 mo and the energy crash was debilitating just take it one day at a time and allow your body to detox without putting anything into it or you will not heal your brain  methadone takes a toll on you keep posting for support............Gnarly

jason your post caught my eye a couple of times so i wanted to tell you yes, i think you should ditch the crystal as well as the alcohol.  get off the methadone as soon as you can and keep posting here.  there is a lot of support here and amazing people who can help you--

you should jump is my personal opinon I jumped from 5mg the worst was over in 4 to 7 days for me and in order to stay clean you must change your habits I always made very poor choices when I drank I dont think even now if I drank I could resist taking a methadone and from what I have read I am extremely strong because they are right in front of me threw the whole thing you must not drink you will make bad choices for sure good luck

Hurray for the 1 mg!!!!  But you for sure should give up the crystal and  alcohol!  They can only lead you into more trouble!  Its just not worth it!!!  Especially if it leads you back to the opiates!!!  Good luck to you!!!  Let us know how you are doing!!

Well...I think you should take the plunge now and just jump from 1mg. I also think you should leave the crystal and drinking in the dust, as well. We're all about drug free living here...Good luck to you!
