Can't afford a lawyer have to use a PD, but I have already basically told him to go pound sand. Why should I help get someone else in trouble, because of my stupidity, besides he can't guarantee me what will happen in the courtroom only the judge and God know that.

Thanks for the advice about signing up for rehab, I quit CT the day I got busted 08/21/08, but I am sure it will help me in court if I can have my PD tell the judge that I quit CT, but am still attending something like narcotics annonomous. No this is my second offence, the first time they made it a misdemeanor, 6 months of probation, no drug testing or counseling and 20 hours of community service, that was in April 2007.

Hey, sorry this is all going down. All the things we never thought would happen seem to be piling up on us. Is this your first offence? Can you get yourself signed up for rehab? Things go atot easier if you can. You should be able to get a new PD. My son was addicted to heroin for 5 years and I had him arrested for identity theft on me for over 10,000. I did it to save his life bc he was dying right in front of my eyes....btw he's been clean 3 1/2 years now.  They wouldn't even pick him up...said he would be out the next day. A constable was looking for him in another township and I told him where to find him. They held him for 9 days in a rehab part of the jail and let him out on his own restitution. He immediatly signed up and went to rehab then a half way house on his own and got 5 yrs. probation and pays restitution on the money he stole. The whole experience saved him...atleast so far. Showing that you are willing to do something positive on your own really helps. Best of luch. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Corey
