just a reminder-intervention

since there are so many new people on this forum this week, i thought i would let you know there is a show called intervention on at 8pm on A@E. it's about addicts and they try to get them in rehab. watching them live that lifestyle is a reminder to me why i got clean, but it's hard to see how sick we really were when we used, but when our minds clear, wow, it's scary. if you get a chance, check this show out although it can be difficult to watch. it's on in an hour, est

Did you guys see the one last night with the guy who came back from the Army and was an alcoholic?  Did you see how he was just slamming that Vodka?  Oh my gosh!  I've never seen someone drink like that.  He was drinking it like I would chug a big bottle of water after a workout or something.  Unbelievable!  I'm suprised that guy didn't die from alcohol poisoning.  Absolutely unreal!

Damn!  I wish I saw your post in time.  Is it on every Monday only?  Well, if it is, it's sure to be on again in a rerun this week I'm sure.  Thanks for the tip.  I'm sure the "freaked out" faces will freak me out too.  It's pretty real for me.  For anyone who likes music, there's a Tom Petty song that my husband played for me on Friday that I had not heard before called "Girl on LSD".  Listen carefully to the words, it actually covers just about every drug and alcohol too.  I think the message is clear.

yes, that was a good one. they are all sad, im not sure what they are about tonight, but we will see soon. its always the end that gets me, seeing that fear  in their eyes freaks the hell out of me and we all know what that fear feels like, ******* scary.

So what was so bad for you this week?  You may have posted about it, I don't always get on here, but it has been a life saver for me when I needed you all.  I'm not one to post much, but I find that reading others helps and if I can put in my two cents on occasion I do.  Yeah I think Thurs is the BIG 60 days clean.  It's weird, it's like I know I feel better all around but I still have such wicked cravings, it sucks.  I will try and post.
