60 days

I'm beyond grateful today to be celebrating 60 days clean and sober! This is the longest I've made it since I started battling my addiction almost 2 years ago. Most of my posts have been about chronic relapse but today I finally get to share some positive news! I certainly did not accomplish this on my own. Far from it. The support of family and friends has made all the difference. I faced an eye opening situation with my daughter a couple of months back. I finally realized how much my children need a stable, healthy mom. I regret the circumstances but I'm thankful for the slap in the face. It took something extreme to get my attention. I realized my children are worth it and so am I. I know I have a long road ahead but I'm thankful that I do not travel it alone. Thanks to all of you who have given me support through all this. It has been a true blessing!

Wonderful news! Congratulations on 2 months of freedom! Yes those little reminders we get from God can be pretty disturbing at first, until we realize what a blessing it has been. On the harder days, keep looking for the signs and the finding the blessings. Meet others in recovery and get all the support you can find. On to 90!

Hi Clm,  congrats on the 60 days. That is a huge milestone!  Sometimes, it does take a "slap in the face" kind of event to finally make us realize what is really important in life, like being a good mother.  I'm so happy for you. Keep moving forward each day.  Take care!

Congragulations to you on 60 days clean and sober!  This is a fantastic feat and you should be very proud of you!  I definatley used my children as incentive to not pick up another pill, b/c there lives were flashing before my eyes.  They don't stay little forever (and neither do we!).  Use whatever it takes as incentive to stay clean.  While I was detoxing my oldest son came to my room to tell me how proud he was of me and what I was doing.  He told me that he had always thought of me as a strong person, and now he was seeing just how strong I could be.  Made me feel like ****, at the time, and pleased all at the same time!  I did NOT want to let the people down around me!  I know we're supposed to want to get clean for ourselves, so I'm not trying to take away from that, but sometimes when you just don't have it in you for yourself, you need other motivators!  Good luck to you and keep pushing yourself forward!

60 days is amazing.  maybe some aftercare NA/AA if possible to keep you from slipping.  that is if it is your thing.  not everyone likes it, but it has helped so many people.  that cannot be denied.
keep up the good work and don't look in the rear view mirror

Very Nice!! Just keep pushing forward and never look back..Support is our number 1 priority. This is a WE thing not a ME..The me gets us in trouble.

Yep, I know about those slaps in the face. I have had MANY since I detoxed back in 2012. This last one could of took my Life, so now I am very GRATEFUL to be alive and to live life clean & sober.

It does takes some time for the Brain/Body to adjust back from the removal of these Stims..Then as you work on it, you will see how much more you grow day by day..The foundation is ready to start building on..Just take it day by day and do not get to far ahead of yourself. There will be many Bumps and many Triggers..Keep learning all you can about Addiction even in a more Scientific way if you like. I sure hope you have hit some meetings??

I wish you the best!
Bless
