methadone or oxy 40s

do i have a better chance tapering off oxys or methadone i heard the shelf life of the methadone makes detoxing off them so hard...and the oxys not the oxycodone but the roxys 30s and then 15 and then tapering off that way was better ..i am living in detox daily with 20 mg of methadone i have to take 60 mg a day to feel like a person..i have college and kids and i need to get clean..this all happened with a neck injury that was there due to an abusive relationship and then carrying my book bag with huge books hurt my neck so bad and i also have such bad lower back issues i have the beginning of drop foot...i have a bad anxiety disorder which makes detoxing not only the hell everyone else has but also i have the severe flipping out feeling the anxiety gives me...do i continue to get the methadone or go back to the oxys  and taper off them...which is least painful?

HI first of all how ong you been on the methadone??? if it hasent set it hooks in you yet and you have doctors doling out the meds oxy is ez to get off long term the recovery from oxy isabout a month or so but methdaone anc last several months it took me 90 days just to see the light but I broke a 16 1/2 yr addiction with 6 1/2 to methadone so you know its going to be long and hard if they give you a choice do the oxy you will recovery a lot faster if not the methadone will get the job don im suprized its taking so much to hold you over.....try not to go any higher in dose it just makes it harder to get off hardener they bring you down 2mg every e weeks  at most clinics so it can take a wile to Come off it not so much the detox but thr post withdrawal last 90 days or longer if I was givin the choice I would detox off the oxy keep posting good luck and God bless,,,,,,,,, Gnarly

Being that you're already on Methaone; I'd keep tapering from there. Detox is detox...it's all crappy!  Do you know how much Oxy you'd have to take to equal 60mg of Methadone if that's where you're comfortable??   A lot...

Taper slowly over time and drop tiny amounts of Methadone at a time.Gnarly will be here soon to offer more advice.
