methadone to soboxone

I have currently been taking 40mg of methadone almost every day but every other day for about a year. I know you have to wait til you are in full withdrawal for the soboxone to work or it will put you in full withdrawal my question is if I go ahead and take the soboxone and put myself in full withdrawal then can I take more soboxone and it work?

I tapered down Suboxone over a matter of a months or 2 after being on 24mg's a day for a year or so then quit then waited like 3-4 days for the withdrawal to start and took Clonopin for a week or so after and stopped that then slept for a few days and now I'm feeling fine and haven't touched either of them in about 3 weeks-1 month and can feel my motivation coming back and everything I can finally be apart of my family instead of being locked up in my room withdrawaling.

Suboxone is definitely better than Methadone and is easier to get off of just don't overdue your Suboxone doses.

Hi welcome to the forum  according to the physicians desk reference you need to get down to 20mg of methadone b/4 you can think about sub then it will take a good 3 to 5 days b/4 you can take sub  if your going to take it it should be under a doctors care both methadone and sub are strong narcotics please dont try this alone..Gnarly
