I don't see how you could overdose if you are taking a smaller amount weekly? Your highest dose was 80mg and now you are down to 64mgs. This is a sllllooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww process. You are making progress. Its not going to be comfortable all the time. Unfortunately that is the price we as addicts have to pay. BUT this is where your aftercare and support plays a key role. Get to a meeting and talk about this with them face to face. You need that reassurance in human form. I think you would feel a lot better. I know this isn't related but it kinda is,,I was diagnosed with threatened miscarriage in early December. I got on the computer and different forums and looked everything up and talked with other people and literally OBSSESSED and drove myself bat sh*t crazy! It wasn't until I saw the doctor in person that I had any sort of piece of mind. So I learned a HUGE lesson,,I learned that I needed to shut my computer off and spend time with my family and work my addiction program. You will only drive yourself crazy if you keep worrying like this. Shift your focus to how you are going to live your life methadone free and what you need to do to ensure that you remain/stay sober. You are doing great and like I said be patient with yourself. (((hugs)))

Hon, get the OD thing out of your head...if you were going to OD, it would have happened long before now.  If you didn't OD at a higher dose, you're certainly not going to now.

I agree with bkitty, and as I said before also..you very well could be having some mild w/d symptoms, as you are tapering down.  Shut the pc off, and get out and do something...keep yourself busy.  You're driving yourself nuts!

I disagree. I think that you are probably having some mild withdrawal issues esp since you are cutting your dose weekly. To me that is what this sounds like and the anxiety is related to it as well. The clinic that you go to needs to explain things a little better. Are you working a NA/AA program along side this as well? Do you have any kind of psych history? Meaning that if you do,,now that you are decreasing your dose it could be possible that some issues are coming thru. You have some good advice above. Try to not obsess about this. I know that is easier said then done,,but this taper is going to take a while so get comfortable and settle in. Hopefully in a few months you will be methadone free! Think about that and work on having a good plan in place to deal with all the mental issues this addiction brings. Be patient and kind to yourself. ((hugs))

That was my main concern, and out here ive told my consuler every day how tired i was getting after doseing like one hour after i be at the computer crashing out or even driveing but  out here they dont care. I would think there responsible for you if you told them and there not doing anything about it.
