Day 6

Well, Im on day 6 and im still not sleeping very well but my head doesnt feel so bobbly today. I am at work alone and im going to focus on some much needed quiet time to myself and reflect on everything ive neglected to even care about lately.
I was appoached yesterday by an aqquiantace that i used to deal with alot when i was younger and i told him how i was detoxing and felt like crap basically. First thing he says as he reached into his pocket is this will make u feel better. He then proceeds to hand me a d-8(dilaudid). I cant believe i had the strengh to say thanks but no thanks and handed it back. The feeling of the first two days of detox flooded my mind and i kept telling myself i was done with that life. Anyway i feel strong again today and feel as if things are starting to get better for me. Thanks to all who have replied and i will continue to listen and learn from all of you. Thanks for the support.

WOW.........that's amazing!  I always used my memory of how much detox hurt to keep me from using again.  If you have bad WDs, it sure is a deterrent.  I had them longer than two days the last time I went through them, because of my DOC, and I never wanted to go back to that again!  Once I finally felt better, and it took awhile last time back in 2010, I didn't want to go back thru it!  So, that works.  Just always remember that it takes some kind of follow up care to keep us clean. The memory alone starts to fade, and some of us start to think that one won't hurt.  IT WILL! : )

Good job!
