Cocaine is a dangerous drug. How much more dangerous is it for someone with Addison's disease to use Cocaine? (specifics?) Was afraid to ask my endocrynologyst.

sounds like you are on the rite track, the 12 step group will bring you a long way. ultimately it will be up to you, if you put as much work into gettin clean as ya did into using, then you have an even betta chance. stick witcha program, hang around here, and remember that the biggest part of quitting cocaine is the mental part, an it can be a real ***** after a few months. so jus keep ya chin up, stay fightin, and dont let the blow get the best of ya!! good luck and many prayers......

I've been using for just under a year. I've been wanting to get clean since January. I really didn't get serious about getting clean until just a few months ago. Working on it.  Tried NA for a bit. Recently joined a Christian 12 step group that I like a bit better than NA. Have told my family (parents/siblings) who are praying for me and supporting me.  Have had some scary relapses though and wondering about my adrenal glands and how cocaine affects them. My endocrynologyst would probably have a fit.

i wasn't sure what addison's disease was, but i looked it up. i really don't know the answer how much more dangerous it is to use cocaine, but this drug is dangerous enough alone. cocaine takes a toll on a person very very quick. just a few lines can cause a heart attack. how long have you been using? do you want to quit?
