Oh man I copied and pasted her posts above way too many times...SORRY! Can anyone edit that for me...I am so sorry. Lyn
Hi, thanks for posting. I went to her profile page, she has over 6000 posts so I will be searching for a while...lol!
I did find a few comments but none yet with her whole plan. Here are a few I am piecing together from various posts -

All these are FLaddicts posts below -
They usually give you subutex for the induction then switch you to Suboxone depending on the clinic or doctor. I stayed on Subutex for most of the ten days I was on it.

I did one in 10 days, call the docs in your area and see what they offer. Mine was a great deal as far as price, paid 300 and that included the pills, 50 clonidine, and some lunesta and pherengen for upset stomach ( the Sub made me nauseous after I took it this helped)
I was in the same situation, couldn't take off work, didn't have alot of money, knew people that did well with shorter term use, so I did tons of research and called the doc. He said he didn't have more than 2 patients that took it longer than 2 months, most did the short term and had lots of successes. Good luck to you.

My doctor sent me home with mine as well. The first day he gave me 4 8mg Subutex pills. I went home and took half, waited 2 hours to see how I was feeling and took 2 mg more then another 2mgs 6 hours later. When I went back the next day he was surprised I only needed half of what he thought I would. Worked out great, saved me doc visits. I went back one other time to get 4 more pills. In 10 days I only needed about 6 pills I think so 17 should be enough for a detox. Best of Luck to you.

Yes the "Sub" Headache is totally normal.. it was awful.. It usually goes away after the body adjust to the med. Mine really was only the first day. Sub can also make some people more on the "jittery" side or it makes people more tired. That gets better when you start to taper down. People react differently. I was one of the more jittery ones, felt like I had taken cold medicine with Sudafed in it. That got better when I started to taper down on the third day. By day 5 I was down to 4 mgs and I felt much better. I did have a cloudy head though until I got down to 2mgs on day 7 or so.
I hope this helped some.

I took Suboxone for 10 days to detox off of pain meds. I have been off of that as well as pain meds for almost 10 months now.

Looks like it was a 10 day taper and on subutex mostly? I just want to make sure I have a "presentation" for my dr. that will be precise and easy to understand because the one I am going to seems to keep all his patients on like a maintenance plan or alot longer than I want but I really have no choice but to go to him since he is the most affordable.
His receptionist was really nice and she said that yes he probably would work with me on a short term taper so thank God he is flexible.
I am glad I have a couple of weeks to figure this out because I am confused big time right now..lol
If you go to fladdicts profile , go to her 3rd page and it think it is on there...But i think it is more like 21 days..
good luck
