need guidance for tramadol taper

Hi folks- I have been on 400 mg of Tramadol ER....for about a month- I am fairly certain that its making me vomit and have nausea, plus I have been more irritable since I have been taking it. However when I started I thought it was a wonder drug because it helped with chronic pain from Rheumatoid arthritis and a recent broken foot.

Anyway I would like to taper down, to see if I can get releif on lower dose with out nausea...and being b*tchy!!  .I have only 200 mg ER, and about 40 tablets of 50 mg non ER.  I thought I would take just 200 mg tonight? what are your thoughts?

Thanks! Carin

I perused thru many old posts, but did not find infor on the Extended release ultram...

My advise to you about the taper is call your Dr. Tapering too fast  can cause seizures. You should not taper with extended release pills, especially if you are having diarhea from withdrawal because may . not be absorbing it correctly making your withdrawal worse. today is my first day without tramadol so I know what your going thru. I wish you well.  Look up the Thomas recipe for detox.  That might help.
