Hello and welcome!!
2 or 3 30mg percocets a day is quite a bit of oxycodone per day. That's 60 to 90 mg of oxycodone a day. Only going off of my own experience, I know that at one point I was taking about 6 pills a day ( they were only 5 mg) and for a period of a month and a half, and I did suffer pretty severe withdrawls.(all in the eye of the beholder, so keep in mind that what is severe to me, may be only slightly uncomfortable for you. :) ) However, there are lots of ways to help cope with them. Check out the Thomas Recipe. Hot baths help quite a bit, especially with epsom salts. Valerian root or over the counter sleep aids I have heard work as well. (Just a warning, the sleep aids can also just make you feel really tired, but still unable to sleep, and in my case, only infuriated me more in the beginning stages of my withdrawls, but once I hit day 4 and 5 they did seem to help) Or there is melatonin which is a natural form of sleep aid. All the best and keep posting!!

Hi and welcome,
First off let me congratulate you on your decision, and realizing its a problem early. Unfortunately there is no way to completely dodge withdraws. Your dose and time of use is minimal. So your withdraws may be minimal...IDK though everyone handles them differently. How did you feel after 24hrs w/o? Tapering for me was impossible, and seemed to just drag out the inevitable.( i was on a MUCH higher dose).Withdraws mimic the flu, so you could maybe play that card and get lighter duties at work. IDK your job though. There is a ton of OTC stuff to help with the physical withdraws. What ever you do DONT put this off...it only gets worse. Hopefully someone can chime in w/ advise to help you get through this while not missing work. Good luck and keep posting.
