needle marks...from pills

If someone uses needles to shoot up in their muscles what do the marks look like?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think your friend is muscling his pain meds. I used to do it and the most notici le thing is the knots. The marks won't be visible after about 15 mins post injection so u really need to confront him so he can get some help .

He tells me the knots are from calcium build up, but I feel he's lying to me I feel crazy

Someone I love is and I keep feeling knots in his arms with bruising and I try to look for the pin mark like from the needle without him noticing but thats hard

A lot of times there will be bruising.

I think you may have a hard time noticing a needle mark in the muscle, it would be similar for example if you went to the doctor and got a flu shot you don't see any marks in the muscle after a shot there, when a person shoots drugs in their veins they usually keep using the same spot for long periods of time and marks become visible, in my day using H sometimes missing the vein resulted in swelling. That's my opinion, maybe someone else can share their experience.
