Well let me start with saying thank you to anyone who helps me here. I have been taking Oxy immediate release tabs for a while now about 90mg a day sometimes 180mg a day when i can afford it. Well needless to say I love the high but its time to get clean. I have had my doc give me 21 8mg subs to help with the WD so i can work and not loose a step. The thing that scared the **** out of me is precipitated withdrawal. Sunday I waited almost 19 hours felt like **** but never took the sub. I dont know how bad im supposed to feel. I took the COWS test and my WD Symptoms are a little different. Burning Skin, leg cramps etc. So can anyone tell me a good length of time to start it so i dont have PW.  14 Hours enought and if I do go into PW do I just eat more subs to stop it? Last my buddy take done and he said i cant take Nexium with subs anyone ever heard of that? my pharmacy or doctor didnt say anything to me about it. Needless to say i have to kick this junk, the time has come and with a little help from you guys i will start the 14 days sub treatment and get clean.

Natt thanks bro. I am going todo it theres no doubt its just a timing thing. I cant miss work period. if i take and oxy now i need another one in about 6 hours. the thing is Sunday i went almost a day and had some signs but nothing like that cows thing. ive done WD last year and day 3 and 4 where absolute hell. so i have read other users experiences and thats what scared the **** out of me. if i go into Precipitated WD do i just take more subs till it goes away. Furthermore i am looking to use this to get me past day 5 then im done with the subs as well. You dont even know how hard it was to get em, I have a valid script for oxys from my doc and he argues with me when i told him im done with them he wanted me to stay on oxys and i was like dude advil works just fine. so im gonna break these into 1mg dose at first and use the min to get m e thru. Im not looking for another bad habit. So i think tomm i will eat my last oxy at 10am then try the subs at 10pm. is there anything i can do to bring the WD on fast like exercise, sounds funny to say that but its making me a nervous wreck.

yes keep it short and sweet if ya can .16 hours should be fine .PW can be handled if it happens but I think you will be ok .We are here for support you can do this

Ochooked is so right.............it is a wicked drug to come off of when youre hooked. Just didnt know I was hooked because I felt normal until I stopped. The withdrawals showed me I was hooked and didnt even know it. My doctor told me when I asked him what would happened if I stopped the subs because I was only doing a tiny piece a day he said "I may feel a little tired" and boy do I wish that was true. Ive heard sub withdrawal is worse than oxy withdrawal. Keep it short and quick if you do it.........good luck.

Yes, Nate knows what he is talking about;  Please go to the Health Pages (above right of this page) and look for a post titled "Members Experiences Coming off of Suboxone"  It may help you as you decide how much Sub to take and how often.  Several people have posted their own experience with it.  Please do a short a time as you can possibly stand on Sub --- Under 21 days if possible - if you go over that you will be on it for a very long time.  It is a wicked drug to come off of once you are hooked.  Wish you all the best and hope you will continue to post and share your experience.

I was on subs for 6 months after a 300-400mg a day oxy habit. YOU HAVE TO BE IN MILD TO MODERATE WITHDRAWAL BEFORE TAKING SUBOXONE. My doc said 18hrs but 15-16 was good enough for me. You know when your in withdrawal. I dont know what the LEAST time you can wait, but when you go that period of time, and are in withdrawal, the sub will take ALL the withdrawals away in 30 minutes. At least it did for me. 30 oxys a day for a year and a half and I take a Half of an 8mg sub under my tongue and it was gone in 30 minutes. ALL WD's were just gone. I was stunned. But subs can become addicting too as I was on them for 6 months, tapered off and when I quit I went into WD from THEM. Got through it, though. So if you do subs, taper off real fast. when you were taking oxys were you going into wd every few hrs or what? If so 14 hrs is plenty of time. JUST MAKE 100% SURE YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY IN MILD TO MODERATE WITHDRAWAL. I'd go with moderate wd to be safe. After you take an oxy how long is before you start to go into wd's?
