U may tell him u do not want any narcotics to help u quit the narcotics...but there are other drugs that can help make it easier to sleep and such...if u are a few days clean...then ur on ur way tho...i am not sure how many u were taking but even 2 days is a milestone at the beginning as most are physically ok in less than a week....the thomas recipe in the health pages has lots of great supps to help u....otc sleep meds like melatonin, valerian root, tylenol pm may help as well...hang in there

im so sorry, i know this *****....Try to get a different doctor, soon.  Do you have gogd insurance??  my eyes are watering up now because i just wish there was something i can do because i know exactly how you are feeling right now.  Tell him that you CANNOT do it alone, you need help.  You've let these pills take you over, now stand up to them and that damn doctor and do what you have to do.  Did you say anything about meds for withdrawal??  You know what, i would just say go to a different doc.  i fully believe in second opinions.  Second opinions got me to a great pain management doc who actually cares about me.

tramadol is also very addictive.  did you tell him you wanted off the meds, or something different??  If you told him you wanted something different, than that's probably why he keeps trying different pain meds.  if you tell him you want off and you want something to help with wd, than i WOULD have thought he would have said one of the meds above.  Look at some of the other posts, there are some about tramadol addiction

oh geez!!!  What did you say??  I'm sorry, what a pain in the ***.  obviously, he knows nothing!!  I was thinking more along the lines of clonidine or suboxone and maybe some valium.  not damn oxys!! don't take those, they are way worse than norco.  Any other docs??
