opiate addictions

I spent 3 years getting addicted to hydrocode and fetynal patches, through a pain management clinic, i received shots, de-nervation procedures etc, at the end of 3 years the doc said there was nothing left to try, and i was in deep in to the opiates. (just what the doc prescribed) it got to where the only reason i was taking the meds was to not be sick.
I found a doc that put me on suboxone. I made the transition and was on suboxone about 8 months, slowly tapering down from 24 mg, to finally about 2-4 mg  a day, the clinic closed about the time i was going to try to get off completely.
Immediately after quiting the suboxone i went into quite serious withdrawals this surprised me because of the small dose i was down to.
I immediately developed restless leg syndrome.  The doc put me on Requip for 14 days, and several other sleep aids (strong) I never got more than about 2 hours of sleep a night for about 2 weeks, still trying to work 2 jobs.
I finally went to sleep at the wheel and almost had a fiery ending.
I made an appointment with a different doc, he immediately put be back on oxycontin, 10 mg twice a day. All this does is make me want more. My regular doc still thinks the RLS is because of the addiction, but all of the other symptoms had about passed but the RLS was gaining strength the more i didn't sleep.
If anyone has any suggestions i would be glad to here them.
THanks

I went off of the sub about a month ago, had about two weeks of hell with the RLS, made an appointment with a different doc in the same clinic and he felt that taking Requip for 14 days and the other sleep aids should have worked by then. He felt there was nothing left to do but put me on oxycontin CR, it has worked well but i already feel like i need more.... I am not sure what to do now i am already dependent on the oxy. Any ideas from the the group that has been through everything.
Thanks

Ditto to what Going said above - --  can't understand why a dr would put you back on Oxy  especially if he knew your history - --   best to you.

2-4mg of sub is a hefty dose to quit from. Your w/d symptoms make sense. Most people get down to a small wafer piece before they quit. RLS is also normal for w/d and lasts for weeks for some.
You didn't say how long ago you quit the sub. I am very unclear as to why a Dr would put you back on opiates! This makes no sense to me. Did they have a plan? Otherwise, I would slowly taper off of them and quit for good.
