oxycodone

So me and my wife have been taking oxycodone for about a year and a half now. We were taking about 120mg each a day and then about 8 months ago we cut down to 60mg each and still are doing that much each. We crush and snort them. We used to do a whole 30 at a time each but now I have us sharing a 15mg about 8 times a day so its a small dose but doesn't get us high. It just keeps us from feeling like ****! I want to quit and so does she because we have 2 kids that we don't want to see us doing this and plus we want to have a normal life free from this crazy hustle of pills all day long! If we quit cold turkey from 60mg each how bad would the withdrawals be? Also how long will they last? I also suffer from severe panick attacks and anxiety and I take xanax for that and have never abused the xanax. We are very scared we will get too sick and have to go to the hospital? I know from reading on here that the amount we do is quite a bit less than a lot of people but I still would like to know what I should expect from this? Please help!?

Yes we are snorting the pills, all of them. I know its really bad and I can't believe we are doing this but I have hope. We have all ready cut our mg per day in half once before from 120 to the 60 we are at now each. I have enough pills to taper down to 45mg each but that's it. After that I am not buying any more and I'm not going back to the doc for a refill. Oh ya I forgot to mention that I have a script for 120 oxycodone 30's a month which is really been a bad thing and made this all much worse. So I guess I'm pretty curious how sick I would get from cold turkey on 45mg's?? I've never quit before accept once from vicodin a few years ago and I was only taking like 20mg a day so cold turkey from that was pretty easy but it still sucked a little bit with leg pain and some stomach pains. So 45mg's?? What can I expect?

Anyways. Oxies are a very strong pain med. I've never snorted them but know some people.do. the sickness is ten times worst than the flu. Have you ever went cold turkey before? Google the Thomas recipe if your going cold turkey. Question when you say your sharing. Are you spliting the pill and still snorting. That's really bad on your sinuses. I would recommend taking them orally from now on. And really cut back. I mean go down to maybe four a day then three and so.forth. if you do what I'm doing get ready for a shizzy three to four days. Drink lots and lots of liquid. Water gatoraid juice. And have Imodium. Lots of it. I get so sick it comes out both ends at once. If you don't have a medical reason stop now and never look.back. I can't tell you what to do. You have to decide if you can taper or just go cold turkey. I wish you the best. Oh and remember either way will be a challenge. But lots of people have quit.

I have been taking 100 mgs a day for six months. I get a forty in am a fifteen at lunch a forty in pm and another fifteen when I need it. I had a knee replacement in may. I've took them mostly as prescribed to me. Occasionaly I will take an extra.I got really mad Friday and threw out 52 forties and 52 fifteen. That was a bad mistake. I'm on second day of detox and gonna give in to my pain. I've got some twenties left over. Or I'm gonna call my ortho for some tabs. I am going to taper..cold turkey isn't working. I'm so so sick
