I would look into prescription strength nsaid I take them for back pain If you want to stay clean I would look into nonopiod pain med options...l would try tapering off the sub insteads of going c/t.
I have to chuckle a bit because you are right where you are suppose to be, Already you are worring about your stash running out or not working. I agree with the previous post. I hope you are being totally honest with your doctor. If not you are setting yourself up to fail. You have a lot of if and buts.....Calm down get centered and remind yourself what you are trying to do...one day at a time. The answers will come when you're ready. I't completly nornal to have anxity about running out and what it's going to be like afterwards......You're an Addict........Please make sure you're talking to someone about these feelings A therapist or your pdoc if you have one. Maybe attend some support groups if your not already doing so. I hoped this helped some Blessed Be
Hi there. It depends. Its deifnitely something to discuss with your suboxone doctor. Why do you ask? Have you been prescribed pain pills? Does the doctor know your on suboxone? Generally you will not feel any pain relief from any narcotic pain medication while suboxone is in your system. It takes about 5-7 days for it to be out of your system (per what they say at 1877 suboxone). If you took a regular pain pill with it in your system, basically nothing would happen. No high, no relief. I carried an emegency medical alert card while I was on it advising any emergency medical personnel that I was on it in case I was in a situation requiring emergency narcotic pain relief. Please discuss any plans with your doctor. It is possible withdrawal from suboxone can be very bad. For some it is for others not at all. I think it depends on the length of time you've been on it and the amount your taking when you stop.
