Im male, 38. Was batteling with coke on and off from 1998 to 2007, 2007was last time i used coke by the Grace of God. But started using cat from 2008, weekly and monthly usage cycles and also weeks or months where i dont use. Always during times when im not using im always assure that i wont start again-but then fail anyway. I have also used ecstacy on and off for 16 years now. I have been in rehab four times. I want to get my life straight. My question is if its possible that my mind will function normal again, how do i know if im beyond point of no-return, drugs have been my long time emotional cruch and i desire rather a fully functional life. Is there a prescribed medication available to assist one during initial period against severe depresion when a person decides to qiut.?

There is always hope. Get yourself into counseling, psychologists,pastor.
Yes you could see a psychiatrist for depression meds. It will take time but you will heal.
Get as much support as possible. Go to meetings daily, AA,NA, celebrate recovery.
Stay away from people, places and things associated with your use.
Do you have family,friends who you can be accountable to, with your time and money.

Never a lost cause and many people have to go inpatient several times before getting clean. You may need to consider a residential treatment program sometimes those work well for people who have relapsed multiple times after several inpatient rehabs. It is also  imperative that you not only cut all of your sources but find and stick with long term aftercare.

You'll get through this and yes, they have medication to help with the lows
