ive tried for help from docs always refused me tried addiction services gives me run around been months dunno anymore advice from me dont get addicted in nl canada cuz they dont give a *** its unreal but if i was on social services like my junky friends id be fine by now but i have a job and isnt a burden on soceity therefor no help from nobody amazing system we have here FRUSTRATED addiction services i thought would help me but its been 2 months and nothing unreal this place

Sorry you're so frustrated, but as others have said, if you can share a little about your history, what you're taking, etc...people here can give you some suggestions.

If you're talking about opiates, many people actually taper themselves off or go cold turkey.  While CT may be pretty unpleasant, as long as you are fairly healthy, it is not dangerous, just very uncomfortable.

There are LOTS of ways you can help yourself...just take some deep breaths, and post a little about you and your addiction history.  We're here to help.  It's wonderful that you want off this roller coaster ride.  You should be very proud of yourself for that!

What kind of pills are u buying off the street??? So what you want to do is go on a taper from the now drug use right???
Do you want to come clean??? It takes alot of positiveness to come clean and stay clean...It is a whole new life change and drug friends have to go...

i want any help methadone or not im buying pills off the street daily and cant afford to eat anymore and i been trying for help for months now and nothing no professional help at all ya think in this well off country be no prob but not thecase around here

I am so sorry..I live in N idaho 50 miles from canada...I just caught your name...May I ask why u want on methedone...I was on it for over 12yrs and it is a whole other animal...It took me a very, very long time to detox out...

ymy doctor retired and i been fked ever since evwryone thinks canada got this wonderful health system but its all BS im a canadian and am refused to get a new doc all i hear is sorry cant help u so i guess they want me to comit crimes and be on social services then ill get help anyone goin tru this in my area?

Well the US is moving toward the exact health care system here. Glad I'm clean now!! Stay here on this site, listen, learn, and soak it all in! There are all variations of addicts with a week to years sober. They will help you!! They sure did help me. Good luck.
