I just wanted to share with others in this forum that this is possible. You CAN quit drugs. This day I thank God so much for helping me thru this nightmare and a lot a lot of friends here that have helped me with advice. Don't give up, the reward is so much worth it. Sitting at the table with my family to share Thanksgiving, absolutely clean after 6 years using non stop is priceless. You are in my prayers, God bless

First of all, congratulations for being so strong. You can hold your head up high knowing that you beat the odds. I have been sober for 6 weeks now after being on methadone for 3 and 1/2 years. I was at a steady dose of 120mg/day and I tapered to 0mg in 5 weeks.

Isn't it amazing how the smallest thing can make you feel so happy! Family is so important and yet as the addiction takes control over your life, its only getting or taking the drug that seems important.
