want to do this

I have been taking percocet 10, 7.5 and 5 for about 3 yrs daily. I am down to 1 7.5 a day and feeling all the withdrawal symptoms. I have the runs already and started having leg cramps and chills and a little nausea yesterday. Today I am not going to take anything. I juice lots of vegetables and fruits and am trying to go for walks but very agitated and dont feel like being around anybody. I bought a 5 hr to give me more energy and I'm taking melatonin at night for sleep. Seems to help a little. I also bought chamomile tea and tension tamer. How long will I feel crappy. I really want to be done with these things. I'm tired of being broke.

I would just ride these next few days out.  I know it is miserable but this part is only temporary.   Try and stay away from the caffeine as that will make you more anxious.  Drink plenty of fluids and try to move around as much as you can.  We need to get our natural endorphins working again.  They got pretty lazy.  Have you thought about recovery care?

I went cold turkey on a Sunday and had a horrible few days ... but by Thursday I was able to host a big birthday party for one of my kids without wanting to kill myself, my husband, my kids ... or random people for that matter.  ;)  Every day that goes by you'll get a little bit better ... heck, every second that ticks by puts you closer to wellness and farther away from the pills.

You CAN do this.

One thing I wish I would've started sooner was exercising ... the more you move, the better off you'll be.  You won't want to, but I promise you you'll feel and BE better for it.

Thank you to you and the others that posted a comment. I am going to stick with it but my energy is kinda low. I am mostly afraid of how i will feel tomorrow. I always did percs cause they made me feel so good but I never felt bad before I did them so I;m hoping that I can feel good again without. I'll keep you posted. Thank you again. This page is a great place to get support. My whole family parties and I let them all know I am not. They understand and say if I do it they will.

This is my 5th day and hanging in there. Most of the symptoms are gone except so tired and not sleeping that great. Walking everyday and doing regular chores but just don't have any energy. I can't imagine anybody going back to percs after going through this it is like having the flu without being sick. Even my cigs taste like@#$#@ probably should give them up too.
