stopping Tramadol

I, after 7 months, have stopped taking Tramadol as my condition and pain has lessened through physio etc.
I was using 2 - 3 tablets most days or sometimes only 1 and rarely 4. Since stopping about 11 days ago I have been sneezing badly and have badly blocked and congested sinuses. I am dizzy and tired often and have a general aches and pains feeling. Is this from withdrawl and if so should it pass soon?

I did not realize tramadol is additive, My Dr gave them to me for headaches, and I have been taking them for easing the withdrawels from opiates. He said they were non-narcotic.   Hugs   Renee

The first poster had it right. You were not taking a terribly high amount and since you are already 11 days in, you don't need to worry about a taper at this point. Tram detox takes a little longer than a regular opiate. If you are sleeping some and your anxiety level isn't too bad then you are well on your way. Seven months is also not so long, but I know people who have had mild w/d's even after a couple of weeks regular use after surgery, etc. Stay strong and you will be fine. Tram is EXTREMELY addictive and a heavy tram addiction is very hard to shake. I did it a year ago. I won't do it ever again. Peace.

probably withdrawal.  Treat the symptoms like a cold or allergy.  Your body is very unhappy now.  Benedryl might help.  I am sure others will chime in.  Good luck.  Tram is a tough one to withdraw from.  I am not familiar with it, but from reading the board...it is usually necessary to taper.  But depending on how strong the dosage per pill was..not sure.  You might share that so others can help better.
