suboxone vs methadone

I have tried suboxone and it made me very ill. Could not quit throwing up. Maybe my dose was too high, don't know but only took it 2 days. I was wondering if methadone was the same way or if it would be worth trying. I am only looking to do it if I can ot taper and be on it 2 days max.

You arent hopeless at all....You can do this!!  Have you thought about any type of aftercare?  That will help you so much.  Think about it okay?           sara

I did a detox with subs and was only suppose to take it 5 days and get off of it but it made me so sick I only took it 2 and the remaining wds were managable. I work 6 days a week and can not miss. I am a single mom with no help at all. Both parents are gone and my childs dad does not help. I just don't know what else to do. I wish I never got myself into this mess again. I even told my new doctor I had been addicted before. I feel hopeless.

Amen to the above!  There is no easy fix, and you could be done with it by next week if you just get on with it now.  But.....agree with IBK here.  I wouldn't recommend what you are talking about.  : )  Sorry

I don't know where you would find a doctor to taper you for two days with Methadone and even if you did, two days is not going to help. You will still have withdrawal after you stop the Methadone. It's risky and I would not recommend it to anyone.

It sounds like you are looking for a way to avoid the withdrawal. People have been doing that for many, many, many years and there is no quick cure, or pill. By the time you are done "trying" all of these things you could have been done with the detox process. Just a thought.

Many members here have gone cold turkey and have lived to talk about it. As long as you don't have any underlying health problems, it is very doable. If you decide to go that route, we can suggest some things that worked for us and be here to support you.
