Oh yes, your feelings are coming back, this is why we say aftercare is so important, Church, NA/AA, therapy, group counseling, SMART recovery, Celebrate Recovery, and so many choices are out there. Anyway, you will have to get used to feeling, yes, subs do block the emotional center of the brain. It will balance out and you will gain new coping skills. It used to be, I feel......., so I am going to take another pill. That is no longer an option, so now we say, I feel........I'm going for a bike ride, to a meeting, to visit a sober friend, to talk to my therapist, or whatever one finds that works for them. There is a learning curve, in early recovery, so it's good to have a solid team to play this new field. What do you have going on for support locally?
Thank yall I have. A question was I numbed or somethingvwhile on suboxone becourse it's like when I'm happy I'm too happy sas too sad ext.is it something I'm gonna have to get used too.
You are on your way buddy, and no maTter what you think or feel, you will get better: energy, clarity, love, all will come back to you. It takes some time, so try not to focus on how you feel. Be good and feeling good will come natural. Keep your eyes on the prize, YOU.
Congratulations! You are well on your way! All of the physical symptoms pass, Im on Day 49 and feeling a lot better, your energy will return, slowly, but it will, especially if you take care of your body and eat/drink well. You may have a shorter w/d time as you were not on it that long, and didn't take that much. You are past the worst, the first two weeks are rough! Proud of you, keep posting. XO. Carrie
