How far along are u with this pregnancy???
I jumped from a much higher dose of subs but from e erything ive seen on here and the countless # of people trying to get off the subs, 21 days is usually how long it takes for the majority of the physical part. You are entering the thick, do u have everything needed to do this?? Find the thomas taper on this website but eliminate the valium b/c i dont find it helps with sub w/d. Mainly b/c it takes longer than 3 days!!! And even with valium or xanex, no sleep so those drugs just seemed to make it worse.
The baby issue is what im not sure about but im sure someone will read this and let u know what to do as far as uf its safe....good luck to u, and know you are in my thoughts and prayers! What your doing is bad ***....remember that....you are a beast and u can win this!!!!

I agree with motye.  I would encourage you to get in with your OB ASAP to discuss both the sub w/d and the kratom.  Depending on how severe your w/d is, your OB may recommend resuming subutex (or similar) for the safety of the baby.

Good luck to you!!!

Hare Krishna, Rama Vishnu! Lets talk about the elephant in the room. Vishnu, creator and destroyer of obstacles. You have a challenge right now, but Vishnu can conquer this too, so that you may be present and a pure spiritual being, for the eyes of your child to see. Accept this challenge and stroll toward the Dharma, may the the many hands of Maya gold you tight.

Man, I will tell you this much. I really wish I hadn't waited until my kids were 8 and 10 to quit opioids. I missed a lot and they still make fun of me knotting out and staggering around. My addiction wasn't so bad, when they were born, but addiction is progressive. It gets worse or gets better, it never rests. Hang in there, you are in the worste of the sub detox, other than it's long duration, you are feeling the worst of the physical right now. Don't let that distract you from living your good Karma. You will not regret the worst of it, neither will your family.

Normal doesn't exist. If we tried to make races by color, we would have millions of human races. Individuals living out their dreams is what normal is, not compared to anyone else, but your uniqueness is what is coming out. It is normal to be on drugs, how many sober people do you know, how many do you know who drink, smoke pot, take pills. Being yourself is what you crave, not being normal. And as far as the old normal you, we are all changing all the time, that person would have changed by now, with or without drugs. Lets make a life better than any one you have or can imagine. Just keep doing the right thing and it will manifest. Manifest destiny.

Well, yes, that makes a big difference, you didn't make that clear.

As for how you're feeling, there's no magic timetable, no magic remedy that will make you feel back to "normal".  It definitely takes a significant amount of time.  The receptors have to bounce back, and your brain has to learn (again) how to make the "feel good" chemicals that were being replaced so long with opiates.

Things you can do are to adopt a consistent exercise regimen (natural endorphins are very good), eat healthy, avoid any mind altering substances, and most importantly....get involved in aftercare.  Once an addict is clean, the work doesn't end....actually it just starts.  Believe it or not, GETTING clean is the easy part, compared to STAYING clean.

Keep talking to us!

Sorry, I mixed up Vishnu and Ganesha, I was typing fast and had to get my kids to school. I don't know about everyone, but faith played a huge roll in my recovery. And yes, by all means, you can give Vishnu your problems. The great Yogis practice patience and surrender. Buddha said, "Life is suffering," and he had to learn that, before he could reach the Dharma state of Nirvana. Lao Tsu professed that resistance to the Tao is pointless and unbalanced, Yin and Yang depend on each other. Jesus said to surrender to the Will of God. that is surrender and acceptance in one action. All those great leaders had to live through some hard times, but their success has not been forgotten over thousands of years of time. You are better than drugs, you have so much to offer, the drugs are trying to stop you. Embrace a new master, allow your potential to flower and be seen. A new you is being born, birth is painful, but years of joy follow.

The Yogi path is many different roads that all lead to the One destination. I focus on Karma Yoga, I tried to understand Hinduism in my travels to India, but found it always alluded me. I felt like I would have to live with a Hindu born family for years to start to get the nuances of that most ancient of religions.

Kratom is likely helping with physical symptoms, but not so much the healing. Kratom works on the same brain receptors as opiates and opioids, so your natural chemistry is not healing entirely. If we feed our brain chemicals, natural or synthetic, our body is efficient, it won't make any chemicals it doesn't have to. I have not tried kratom, but friends have and told me that it helped for acute physical detox, but tolerance to kratom builds fast. Those who used it successful and are clean more than a year, used it short term and just dealt with the rest with no mood altering chemicals or herbs. Does it feel like it's helping? I wouldn't use it too long, or go up in dose, if it feels it isn't helping as much. People have come to this forum to get help kicking kratom, just so you know.

Hello and welcome. I am on day 38 of sub withdrawal. I was on it for 3 years and jumped at around 3mgs. It's hard the first month, but there are many things you can do to ease your pain, and this time in your life will pass quickly enough and then you have your whole life ahead of you! I started doing the Thomas recipe which is easily found on this site and its a vitamin regime to ease your symptoms. Day 5 was pretty bad for me too, but I did it without benzos or kratom (not familiar with kratom). What got me through that first month was MH, trying my best to stay positive ,HOT baths/showers getting angry at my sub dr.and giving myself a break, the world wont end if certain things don't get done. Are you sleeping? that is the hardest part for me, I still only get a few hours a night, 6 was the most I got, but melatonin helps, once the subs leave your body (in my experience)It is a long withdrawal, that is for sure, but jumping at 1 mg will make it a little easier. Once I reached the 30 day mark, and this can be all in my mind, I started feeling a whole lot better, mentally and physically. it takes a long time for your energy to come back, but slowly it does, I am living proof! On day 30 I cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal, cleaned it all up and entertained family members that were staying at my house.I feel that the more you make yourself do, the more you want to get up and do. For 3 weeks I did nothing, I think if I would've made myself do more it would've been a whole lot easier.Dont worry about the sleep, as my therapist says, youre not going to die, you will just be sleepy and a little uncomfortable. Suboxone doesn't make us normal and who we want to be, it makes us high and addicted, Once all this is over you will be who you are supposed to be and will be so proud that you made it through. Your interests will come back, you will laugh and cry again and you will be able to love more fully than you ever could've while on subs, So do it for the baby on the way, they deserve all the love you can give them, and they need you to be present, not numbed on opiates. If you want to read my old posts they are all still up and I basically documented the first 25-30 days. You are not alone in this, take the advice given, I did and Ive made it this far and Im never turning back. Good luck and keep us posted! XX. C

hey there...I am currently on day 36 of stopping subutex, same as suboxone without the naltrexone. The first two weeks seemed the hardest for me. I jumped at 8mgs. I still feel a lack of energy but overall not too bad. What helped was getting on some herbs, vitamins, and also immodium as needed. As scarrieanne said, the Thomas recipe is a great place to start. When you quit a drug you have to really want to, I think that's the key to success. Each week, day that passes you feel better. Take care and you got this, we're all here to help :)

That should be good news for you, but everyone is different and our bodies and minds are not all the same. I feel pretty positive for you, though, that is not much and you were not on it more than a year. Stay healthy, hydrated, and positive! Its temporary, always remember that. XX.C.

thanks everyone im just very scared im not gonna take any kratom  after tommarow. I just hope I didn't prolong the withdrawls

You are still so early into it, I dont thing you prolonged anything. Since suboxone has such a long half life, you don't really start feeling the w/d til days 4, 5 and 6. I didn't really start feeling terrible til day 5, I am not going to sugarcoat this for you, but it does get worse after that, but its doable and depends on a lot of factors, like your overall health, age, environment, and support system, as soon I felt good enough I got into an addiction therapist and it is a huge help, you may want to go the NA route, not for me, but maybe good for you. What helped me the most was talking to people that have been through it and came out the other side. There is no magic number on how long it will last, and when I first came on here, I was searching for that number because I was scared and in pain, physically and emotionally. So keep it up it gets so much easier, you are in the hard part right now, every day that goes by will make it easier to deal with, Im to the point now where I forget how many days Ive been clean until I log on and look at my tracker. You can do this, I was talking to a friend on here and just imagine how much worse your life could be, and it puts it all in perspective. Keep it up, youre doing wonderfully, and you toook that first step, which is the hardest. Much Love to you and your family! XX. C

If you don't mind I ask, what's the Adderall prescribed for? It's okay if that is private. I know I took it for withdrawal in the past, and it made me more aware of my symptoms and super motivated me to go out and find some opiates. Most prescription drugs I ever took were from the streets and I had no business taking Adderall as a bipolar, so my experience is pretty skewed with that drug. How do you feel an hour after you dose the Adderall?

very anxious everything gets bright rapid heartbeat but physical withdrawl pretty much disappears.and its for adhd

I had heard that from others, so thanks for the info. Nothing but opiates made my methadone withdrawal go away and I tried lots of things, too many.

I was just curious about the adderall, the true ADHD folks I have seen taking it, calmed down and seemed less anxious. Does it calm your mind down, or just make the physical withdrawal go away? You say it makes you feel anxious, were you prescribed that med before your opiate addiction or during? Sorry, I just second guess every doctor I even hear about, so bear with me. I'm still working on those resentments, luckily the local opiate doctor retired as I quit taking them. I bought them on the street, but he was the one who prescribed them to people who didn't need them and sold them to me. Anyway, again, you don't have to share anything, I am just fascinated my mental diversity and take every chance I get to learn from a new mind.
