ok.... i'm on 10 mgs a day now....still can't get into medical detox place...went to my family doctor today to get something to help with the withdrawals which haven't been bad ...the worst being I have no energy and am mean as a snake..anyways, he has gotten hid DEA license soooooo he can prescribe suboxone....yep, now i'm thinkin i'll get a script for the suboxone ( which he , hisself said we would start then after a lil bit start tapering off that) my thoughts on this are....the med. detox place i'm trying to get into uses suboxne and valium to med. detox you!!!!???? why not....get the suboxne which i got a script for take it for a few weeks then have my doc. ( which i have gone to for years and is a really good doc.) wean off that.....it with ins. is going to cost 35.00 w/o ins 65.00 ...i am paying 40.00 for a 40 mg wafer right now and there not guarenteed and the most important thing in all this is that i have a daughter that i have to take care of.....im thinking NA... ans finding a counselor.....any suggestions will be great !!! I am no longer going to that &^%$%$% methadone clinic if someone had bet me a million dollars that in a year that i would go from 90 mgs a day to 10 mgs a day and would quit going there i would have never believed it.......NEVER

It sounds like a great plan!  And now that you're down to 10 mgs you can certainly start the Sub.

You will have to be in moderate withdrawal before you can be induced with Sub, but you can do that!

What sounds the best about this plan is that the doctor will get you on and off the Sub quickly! That's the whole secret: To stay on for a brief time; like one month or less!

I don't know about sub except what I have read here. Some say it can help if you don't use it very long and taper with a doctor's supervision. Just wanted to offer my support. :) Others who know more than I will respond soon.
