I tapered and yes, it takes longer, but i had no runs, no headaches, but alot of rls and achey body...anxious at times...i was able to go about my daily business. If you can taper and want to..do it. If you want to ct, do that! It depends on how available you need to be to others. I'm divorced and had 2 kids to take care of ..so taper worked for me.
I agree with worried878 on breaking the pills in half and spreading them out evenly over a 24hr. period. Everyone is different...and you need to decide what will work for you. Can you taper w/o taking all the pills at once? iIf not, that's prol' not going to work!!
Good luck and keep posting! We're here for you!
They told me on here to not spike doses and let your blood levels rise...in other words...if you are going to take 2 tomorrow, take .5 4 times spread out...they told me to never take enough to get a buzz at one time...I dont know which way is best...let me know how you do please?
This month about 3-7 a day of lortabs7.5or10 or percocet7.5or 10 sometimes i could keep it at 4 a day and stop for 24 to 72 hours than score and go back this .week only 3-4 a day.I really have no answer to this I have been hooked since 2004.and my husband he can take 14 percocet10 in one day today he took 14 lortabs 7.5 and its only 6;00. the pain does start mild in 7 hrs but the runs started this morning at 7am.but last about 1and half hour and not the whole time their was breaks.but i took at 12;00 today 3 and no more since than.I will not take till tommorrow and no more than 2 so will see in 5 days whats up beside i only have 10 left.
Either way, you are going to have some tough times. Just know that it will get better. Use the people that you love and trust to get you thru. The fact that you are here is so great. You can do this
Seriously, just flush them and get on with it. No it probably won't help the withdrawels if you go down to 2 for a few days, just prolong the agony. And if you continue, you may loose any incentive you may still have to stop at this time. It's always "just a few more", or "when I finish these pills" etc. Flush them now and get thru this. We'll be here to help you thru it. Let us know what your doing, either way you go.

I am doing the same thing but not down as far as you are...how many were you taking before you tapered? I would think that sudden abrupt quitting would be more painful but tapering is painful too...you are on a really low dose right now...may be time to go for it...are you suffering or feeling the cut? need answers too
Tapers are tough, and many cannot do them. But, if that is your plan, then go for it.
To be honest, tapering really does not lessen the withdrawal physically. It may mentally, but not physically.
