i too have it bad i blamed oxy i blamed rock concerts my bulldozer anything you just get it. i usetinnitus relief lipoflavonoid and ring relief they do help and sometimes it goes away for awhile.wear ear protection at loud events .if you are that bad an ear doctor might give you some cortizone but its only temporary usually.keep yourself busy and you tend not to hear it as much.hope that helps a little bit

I know how frustrating tinnitus can be.  I still have it in my right ear, and it used to drive me crazy.

Try turning on a fan at night, on low, that will help, along with sound machines... even white noise is helpful.  And check with your pharmacist, as I've read there are OTC remedies for tinnitus that apparently has helped some folks.

I will tell you it became less distracting over time.  I still hope mine will eventually go away, but at least I don't notice it as much anymore.

And this is NOTHING to hurt yourself over, okay?  Nothing is worth that.  :) hang in there.
