I am a female 15 years old, I live in New York, and I have been addicted to pain meds for about a year in a half. I guess it all just started with bad depression and leaded to my mother having many different illness's and has lots of different meds around the house that were very easy to get too. I guess one day I didn't think about what could actually happen and I was taking about 7 to 8 a day, and that's extremely crazy I didn't even weigh more than 100 lbs. It sorta just started to get better to down hill again..once summer came along it was like a walking nightmare. I am a competitive dancer so I would be to sick to go or to out of it to even know what was happening. I started developing really bad insomnia day in and day out all I was thinking about was talking more taking more so then I couldn't take it and started taking my moms zolpidem, and ever since then it's been mostly oxys with these sleeping pills, I use to just orally take them but then one of my friends who is a drug addict and dealer told me how snorting has much faster effects so now that's what i've been doing. I've already od a couple of times. I am realizing that this needs to end. I need help before I ruin the rest of my life with this stuff. I just don't know what to do anymore.

HI well an in pacent detox center would be the safest place to do this you need to come clean with your parents trust me im the father of an addict and an addict myself there wasn't anything I wouldn't do to help my daughter the problem was she dident want to help herself for quit some time so all the rehabs and meetings out pacent help dident work untill she got ready to get clean....you already ready so its time if it was just the opiates we could help you with a  home detox plan but those sleeping pills throw a cure in that you need to be weened off by a doctor under supervision please trust us on this one your to young to be carrying such a burden I wish you all the luck in the world getting clean just know it so so worth it,,,,Gnarly

Yes, I do realize I just don't think the reality is setting in yet. But yes I do want to stop and now I guess i'm doing anything to try to seek help. Glad to hear that you're on 3rd day that's good, keep it up! Don't give up. Good luck!!

I don't really have much of a family support well no one knows besides one of my volleyball coaches who I have been talking to for awhile, and I really trust her. I have realized they are a terrible combo, I know what I want now and that's to stop and I guess it's just I have to want it bad enough for it to happen. I really appreciate you reading this and giving your intake. I have to want to end this for it to get better. Thank you very much!!

I have a question for you please. Do you know what you posting here means? Well, you probably do, but just in case, it means you are here for a reason, it's because you know that you don't want this anymore. You have come to a great place. Please, regardless of hit or miss, don't leave. As for myself, this is the third day I have stopped using norcos. I am in no place to tell you anything, other than you are worth more than the life you hate.

More people will be on, more people who have lived it and left it, and they will help and support you till your done and free.

Just the fact you came here and asked for help shows you are already winning the battle.

Hi---You need to get help right there where you are. What kind of family support do you have? Relatives? People you can trust?

Oxy's and sleeping pills are a dangerous combo,as you've found. Don't do that,okay? And eliminating the snorting ritual will go a long way toward getting clean.

This is a particularly tough situation because you are underage. You should be under the care of a doctor and this would involve your parents or Mother who need to sign a consent form for you to be seen.

Be careful there. New York has some pretty stiff drug laws!!
