As Time Moves On.....

Hello all.....I just wanted to check in really quick and did not really have time to be online this weekend.  I am still hanging in there and am finding that I am starting to feel better each day.  The biggest change for me is to curb the daily thoughts about my addiction.  It is strange that I feel a lot better and am well on my way to feeling normal again but still fight the thoughts of warding off my addictive thoughts.  I do not crave as much as I used to but I still have my weak moments.  There is no way I would use right now because of the length of time it has taken me to get where I am at today.  I still fight the residual depression and lack of motivation at times but I am finally starting to sleep a little better without having to take a handful of Melatonin.  I am staying fairly active and have been fairly religeous to my diet and exercise.  The wife and child were out of town this weekend and it was kind of nice to lay around the house in piece.  I know that I am well on my way to recovery but my thoughts are still consumed with the anxiety of using again.  I am probably not making a whole lot of sense but today is kind of a weird day for me.  I think that I am just feeling a little bit of anxiety and a little bit of minor depression.  I cannot seem to sit still today and feel like I should get up and run a mile but do not have the physical energy to do it.  I think once I ride my exercise bike today I will feel a lot better.....Thanks for listening and we are slowly coming up on 2 months without anything and almost 4 months off of the methadone!  Pretty proud of that so far.....

Good for you!     We are always recoving after we stop using and we need support with that. You're finding that out!   Have you thought about some kind of recovery support/aftercare?   Most of us could not have stayed clean for any length of time without support.

Stay on this path,okay?
