BTW thank both of you for replying. I think I just may have needed to get the worry out and verbalized so I wasn't sitting here trolling the Internet for worst case scenarios and freaking myself out. My old lady has klonopin just in case. But I really don't want to take any unless it's absolutely necessary.
Yes I live with my wife and 2 kids. She knows everything so it's not like it was during my IV days when I was trying to hide addiction. I am actually lucky that I let her in finally so I always have support at home.
Thanks for the reply. I know that you shouldn't cold turkey from benzos. I was just thinking that since I was on a low dose for a relatively short time I might not have to taper. My reasoning was to quit the benzo immediately so I wouldn't push it any longer than I already had. The suboxone has been such a life savor that I did not want to risk adding a new addiction also my sub doctor has me so scared of mixing the 2. She said that the mix can be deadly and that's why I had to decide between one or the other. I will call her tomorrow. As of now I have no symptoms other than rebound insomnia which I feel like I can handle. I could be wrong but I don't think I have been on enough a day or long enough to cause seizures. Mostly curious if it would be like my opiate wd's from 100-125 mg IV use of oxy.
Hi, although you weren't on much, and not for long, I understand your concern. Like Vicki said there is seizure risk. I have taken what you have taken and for a longer time and I was fine but do you live w/ anyone, or can someone be "on call" for you just in case? You should prob cover yourself.
Hi there- It's good to stop the Ativan but never stop it cold turkey. Benzos need to be tapered due to the seizure risk when withdrawing. Let your doctor know what you did so you can get some more to cover yourself. Good luck!
Sorry for the long original post. Just wanted to give enough info so hopefully I will get a reliable answer.
