using codeine during withdrawal from oxycodone

has anyone used over the counter codeine during withdrawal from oxycodone?  Does it work or does it only prolong the withdrawal process.

Dont do codeine. You'll get hooked all the same and still wd over kicking it off all the same. If u really need it, try to go for milder flu tablets etc.
Hang on! :)

Oh boy, can I relate to this...when I ran out of oxycodone, I would try and get the same effect from Tylenol 1. (8 mg codeine).  My sick brain remembered how I got hooked on them 24 years ago, and I thought I would get "something" from it.  Don't bother, it will only prolong the process of detoxifying....your liver needs a break!!!  Stick close to the forum...keep posting...

For me I would not because I wouldn't even feel the codeine after taking the oxy for a time. Then you could also end up hooked on the codeine and then there is all of the apap you would be ingesting. Are you wanting to quit for good?  This is a great place for support. Best wishes to you friend ;)
