vicodin withdrawl

i have been on vicodin since april 2008.i was given it by my family doctor for back issues.i do construction and my back takes a pounding on a daily basis.in september of 08 i broke my leg.i was given perks from the specialist.so after a rough 5 months of leg issues the vike abuse started.i went from taking two a day to taking 6.now 2/5 years(and 25lbs lighter) later i am at around 8-16 a day.i'm aware that the tylenol is ******* me up but i can't stop.every day i wake up tomorrow is going to be the day i stop,but as we all know tomorrow just keeps becoming tomorrow.i really want to stop.my biggest fear was the withdrawl while having to work.i quit for 13 days in june of 10 and for some reason started again.i have 4 days till i go to school for 2 weeks and am out of vikes.they are easy to get on the street and i have gone through probably $2000 on them in 2 months. plus the 120 a month i get from the doc.yep i have a problem.when i broke my leg i was 5'11" 170lbs and pretty hott,and now i'm 5'"11 140lbs and look like ****!!!i hate looking in the mirror.can anyone help?

Its good that you admit you have a problem, that is a good step forward. I can totally relate to you I was once at 8-16 a day also and it only got way worse. 25 a day then mixing with benzos. I know the desperation and the fear all to well. There are so many awesome people on this site that will help and give you suggestions on how to cold turkey, or anwser what questions you may have. WD is no fun.. but it can be done it is possible and YOU can do it also. Look at the top right corner of this page in the health pages, there is alot of good information in there also. I can,t vote since my drug was oxycontin, but opiates are opiates. You say I'll stop tomorrow why don'tyou make today your tomorrow. It sounds like you want your life back now so since you don,t have anymore pills don,t byuy anymore off the street. You also said you have 4 days before you have to go back to school well take that time to get clean. So please that the plunge you will be soooo happy you did and you have come to the right place for advice and support as we can guide you through your journey.
