Hi there. If you are having such a hard time of it on the Suboxone then going back on the Methadone may be the best choice for you. Im curious why you transitioned from Methadone to Suboxone in the first place.
You wont go into precipitated withdrawals going from Suboxone to Methadone. That only happens going the other way. As you already stated in your post, you may have to still wait a few days from your last Suboxone dose before you are capable of feeling any relief from a dose of methadone
Good luck. Regards Jeremy.
Were you on the methadone before u changed over to the sub how much methadone were you taking and how long were you did you wait before you took the sub?
Suboxone contains Naloxone which prevents it from being injectable therefore making it more difficult to abuse.
I hate to see you go back on Methadone and hope that you will seriously re-think it. If you can go 5 days without the Suboxone you can be almost through the physical withdrawal.
Make certain that if you do decide to go back on Methadone that you follow your doctor's instructions to the letter. If you take it too soon you will be thrown into precipitated withdrawal and that is a very unpleasant place to be.
I hope you stick around a read some posts--get some education from the folks here you have experience. I wish you the best.
